You can call me Connie. I am a creative social media strategist, writer. nerd, pop culture enthusiast, and photographer. I have 7+ years of experience with brand social media at Scholastic Inc. and TIME for Kids Magazine, where I developed campaigns, enhanced audience engagement, monitored brand crises, and more. Most recently, I was the Director of Community and Customer Service at Scholastic, where I focused on community engagement and crisis management on social media.
I’ve been chronically online since I was nine years old, scouring Geocities pages. Now, I am a digital chameleon adept at navigating different internet communities and translating their nuances for brands. As a pop culture writer and editor, I’ve written for the Daily News, TIME for Kids, Polygon, Shondaland, the Nerds of Color, and many more. What unites my work is engaging in the celebration of fandom, joy, and whimsy, and supporting communities, especially ones that are marginalized.
I interviewed Doctor Who‘s Christopher Eccleston at New York Comic Con in 2019. It was fantastic.
